What is a school counselor?
ASCA National Model:
School Counseling is an integral part of Southern Local School District's educational mission. As a part of the educational community, all school counselors must follow the American School Counselor Association's model to reinforce the counselors crucial professional role to help every student improve academic achievement, develop personal and social/emotional growth, and plan for future career success by overcoming bariers to learning through a comphrensive program and collaboration.
